MainChick keeps an eye on barn conditions 24/7 and flags potential health issues before they become outbreaks.
The problem
In poultry farming, small environmental drifts and early infections are easy to miss and expensive to catch late. Farmers needed a way to see trouble coming.
What we built
A sensor-fed monitoring system tracking temperature, humidity, and other barn conditions, paired with an ML layer that spots early warning signs. An AI chatbot answers day-to-day poultry questions — trained well enough to be genuinely useful, not a gimmick.
Results
The system reached the finals of both the Google Solution Challenge and the International Imagine Cup, and placed top two at Astranauts 2023.
